Provisioning Server Setup
What is the Provisioning Server.
- The Provisioning Server configures the associated Sip devices to the SIP Server.
- Configures Account Registration settings on the SIP Devices.
- Configures allowable codecs.
- Deactivates all non-recognized codecs from the SIP devices.
- Updates the devices firmware to the latest tested version.
- The Provisioning Server Configures basic phone feature settings on the device as requested by the sites administrator.
- Line Key appearances.
- Soft Key appearances.
- Busy Lamp Field appearances.
- Transfer Modes
- Voice Mail / Message Key settings
- As well as other features.
- The Sip device's MAC address is required to be entered into the provisioning server in order to associate the device to the proper configuration.
- SIP devices not provided by Ironton Telephone Company will not auto provision.
- Refer to - "Registering Devices".
- When replacing a device with a previously supplied spare phone, please contact Technical Support.
- Required information:
- Old Phone's MAC Address.
- New phone's MAC Address.
- Account ID associated with the SIP device.
- Once the change is made a simple device reboot will force the configuration change.
- Required information:
- SIP devices not provided by Ironton Telephone Company will not auto provision.
- Factory Defaulted Phones:
- Ironton Telephone Company DOES NOT alter the Manufacturers Factory configuration of the SIP devises it provides to customers.
- Any SIP device which is factory defaulted will not contain the proper link to the provisioning server.

- All customer changes to the SIP device's programming will revert to the provisioned setting if the power is lost or the device is rebooted.
- To ensure the changes are not lost, please supply the changes to you sales representative.
